The Northern Neck Rideshare Program VANPOOLS Current Northern Neck Vanpools Note: Vanpool operators listed below are not employees or contractors of NeckRide, the Northern Neck Rideshare Program, or any other government agency. They operate independently and set their own rules. We list them here as a public service and because they have agreed to be listed as vanpool operators. We know there are several other vanpools commuting daily from the Northern Neck to Washington, DC, Richmond, and Hampton Roads, but their owners have not asked to be listed on this page. If you are a vanpool operator and would like to be listed, please contact our office at (804) 333-6683.
If you are a vanpool operator and would like the Northern Neck Rideshare Program (a.k.a. NeckRide.org) to list your vanpool as one offering seats to Northern Neck commuters, please download and complete the Vanpool Registration Packet (PDF) and submit it. Thank you. VanStart and VanSave Programs The Virginia VanStart and VanSave Programs are designed to provide financial support for new vanpools or existing vanpools experiencing emergency loss of passengers. Please download and read the information document on these programs provided by the Virginia Rail and Public Transportation Department.
Affordable Insurance for Vanpools AdVANtage is a self-insurance pool that provides affordable liability, uninsured motorist and physical damage protection for commuter vanpools. Vanpools that are licensed and registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia are eligible to become members. Vanpool owners join by paying annual membership fees to the pool that they would traditionally make payments to in the form of premiums. These fees are used to self-insure the AdVANtage member vanpools. For additional information, visit http://www.advantagepool.org/faq.html
